We are close to one of the UK’s most vibrant and dynamic cities, while our cliff-top setting between the edge of the South Downs National Park and the English Channel provides a sense of calm. It is a setting that inspires learning, wellbeing and personal growth.

We’re just a few minutes from the buzz of Brighton (voted Britain’s best seaside city 2022 by The Sunday Times). So the girls can take advantage of its beaches and culture – from walking to the undercliffs and iconic pier, to exploring the rockpools, shopping in the Lanes, undertaking charity work in the local community, learning to sail along the coast, and visiting the cinema at the marina.
The school has local transport routes passing nearby, along with 20 Roedean buses bringing day-girls to school from the surrounding area each day. The proximity of Brighton railway station also means that London is easily accessible, just 53 minutes away on the train, and Heathrow and Gatwick airports are both less than 75 minutes away by car.
Of course, Roedean also sits on our own beautiful 45-acre campus, with our own farm, and it also has 75 acres of land alongside. The idyllic coastal landscape here is a truly inspirational setting – from the tranquillity of the sparkling sea on a summer’s day to its wild beauty during a winter storm.
