Roedean Diploma

Beyond the Classroom

Bringing it all Together

In September 2024, Roedean launched the Roedean Diploma, a new programme designed to recognise exceptional dedication, skill and contribution beyond the classroom.

The programme enables students to document their achievements across academic enrichment, leadership, sport, the arts, community service and personal development projects, culminating in one of three pathways: Junior, Senior or Sixth Form. Those who pursue the Roedean Diploma can be awarded a Distinction for their prowess. It’s a gateway to recognising exceptional dedication, skill growth, and contributions across activities, building confidence and preparing girls to excel in multifaceted areas of life. This approach is a testament to the school’s commitment to a “girls first”’ education.

“The Roedean Diploma is a transformative experience, inspiring me to excel in academics, leadership, sports and creative pursuits. It’s so much more than meeting requirements, it’s about building confidence, developing meaningful skills and discovering how to make a real difference. This novel program has motivated me to think boldly, step outside my comfort zone to explore new experiences, act intentionally and strive for collective impact in everything we do.”

Beth Breaks New Ground as the First to Earn the Roedean Diploma

Well done to Beth, who is the first student in the School to complete the Roedean Diploma. Reading what she has done to fulfil all the criteria highlights the huge breadth of activities she has thrown herself into – we are really proud of her!
