Our Future Plans

About

Bigger & better:
our ambitious future plans

Over the next five years, Roedean is committed to further improving our facilities, particularly investing in Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM), the Arts and Sport.

It’s all part of creating the best possible educational experience for every girl.

Our ambitions include three major ongoing projects:

Learning Commons

Converting our existing library into a Learning Commons will provide additional learning and study spaces and create a hub of literature and information technology resources.

Completion expected: 2023

STEM Centre

A new Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Maths (STEM) Centre will be constructed within the current envelope of the science facility.

Work due to commence: 2023

Performance Arts Centre

A brand new £7m Performing Arts Centre, providing additional 1,125m² of teaching space, three large studios, a reception space, six medium-sized classrooms, several small teaching spaces, WC facilities, and an office space. This will link closely with the theatre and chapel to provide a hub of music, dance, and drama.

Project schedule: 2026-27

In addition, we’ll continue to develop and widen access and increase our public benefit, through our bursary provision and work without schools.
