Dance

Beyond the Classroom

Within two large, bright studios, and with experienced teachers, dance at Roedean offers girls a chance to develop their dance skills at a variety of levels – this could be simply for enjoyment or for a career in dance or the Performing Arts.

The development of Ballet, Modern, Tap, Jazz, and Contemporary helps to broaden students’ skills and encourage them to explore different styles.

We offer a range of lessons: from once a week for pure enjoyment, to several hours per week for those who want to pursue Dance more seriously.

Roedean students are hugely successful in RAD and ISTD examinations – in fact, the School is particularly proud that, in recent years, some students have achieved Advanced 1 and 2 in ballet, a level which is normally reserved for ballet schools or establishments where the students are dancing full time.

“Creative arts are a real strength at Roedean.”
