Through caring for animals and exploring local ecology, girls gain a deeper appreciation of the natural world and their role in protecting it.

The Farm brings learning to life by connecting practical experiences with the academic curriculum. Biodiversity surveys, conservation projects and sustainable farming practices support teaching in Biology, Geography and PSHE, while also encouraging pupils to think critically about the environment and food production.
Animal welfare is at the heart of the Farm’s philosophy, giving girls meaningful opportunities to develop empathy, responsibility and confidence. Through caring for the sheep and goats, pupils learn about animal husbandry, health care and the importance of treating living things with respect.
Farm Club provides pupils with regular opportunities to contribute to the day-to-day running of the Farm and support its ongoing development. From feeding and caring for animals to creating a stimulating environment for livestock, girls gain practical skills while helping to promote sustainable farming and conservation.
The Farm provides a peaceful and restorative environment where girls can spend time outdoors, connect with animals and enjoy the benefits of being close to nature. Caring for the animals encourages mindfulness and a sense of purpose, supporting pupils’ wellbeing while helping them build confidence and resilience.
