I like attending Farm Club because it’s a nice break from the hustle and bustle of school; it’s fairly quiet and it just feels calming to be outside.

“I like attending Farm Club because it’s a nice break from the hustle and bustle of school; it’s fairly quiet and it just feels calming to be outside, and not focussing on lessons or schoolwork. I’ve learned so much about farming and looking after animals. During the lambing season this year we helped to build dens for the lambs to keep them warm – they needed a lot of care when they were just born, and during Independent Study I was allowed to go up to the farm to check on them.  We even had a breech birth, which was really sad, but an important learning experience.  I’m really looking forward to visiting another farm this year to learn more about lambing on a larger scale. A completely different part of school life which I love are the school productions; I really enjoyed taking part in All Together Now, and recently auditioned for Les Miserables!”
