Director of Sixth Form

Every Sixth Form student can be successful with the right guidance, motivation and sense of positive self-worth; empathy for themselves and for others

Having worked closely with Sixth Form students for over 20 years, I believe that there is a pathway for every student and that every student can achieve success in a positive and exciting way if they are encouraged, supported and respected as individuals.  Allowing our Sixth Form students to make informed choices and to feel valued as young adults sets the scene for them to thrive in their A level studies and to enjoy their learning journey and personal development in the final phase of the school life.

Leading the Sixth Form and teaching Mathematics at Roedean has brought me a great sense of pride over the years.  As well as the obvious parts of my role, I have also enjoyed being part of the wider school community by playing in the school orchestra, singing in the choir and teaching many young people how to knit!  The wealth of opportunities that Roedean offers to our students create life long memories as well as those crucial skills for the future.
